Fiberglass rovings and mats

JUSHI is our valued partner in offering fiberglass, rovings, and mats solutions.

Fiberglass is frequently used in the building and construction industry because it offers several benefits, including high strength, lightweight, aging resistance, superior flame resistance, and acoustic and thermal insulation.

Applications include composite walls, screen windows, reinforced concrete swimming pools, headliners, daylighting panels, FRP tiles, door panels, decorative items, FRP steel bars, restrooms, and sanitary fixtures, etc.

Mat Production Process

Assembled rovings are chopped to a specified length and then fall onto a conveyor randomly. The chopped strands are bonded together by either an emulsion binder or a powder binder. After drying, cooling, and winding, a chopped strand mat is formed.

Emulsion Chopped Strand Mats

Emulsion Chopped Strand Mats are made of randomly distributed chopped strands held together by an emulsion binder. They are compatible with UP and VE resins. The roll width ranges from 200 mm to 3,120 mm. Special requirements may be available upon request.

Powder Chopped Strand Mats

Powder Chopped Strand Mats are made of randomly distributed chopped strands held together by a powder binder. They are compatible with UP, VE, EP, and PF resins. The roll width ranges from 200 mm to 3,120 mm. Additional requirements for wet-out and decomposition time can be provided upon request.

Weaving Process

Woven fabrics are made on looms, with warp and weft reinforcement threads interlaced in various configurations to create different fabric styles.

Woven Rovings

Woven rovings are compatible with UP, VE, EP, and PF resins. They have a weight range of 260 g/m² to 1,600 g/m² and are available in widths ranging from 50 mm to 3,000 mm. Our products feature both plain and twill weaves. Other specifications are also available upon customer request.

ArmaPET sandwich lamination core materials

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) technology was pioneered by Armacell, who also helped the composites industry make a breakthrough with foam cores made of PET in 2005. Since then, Armacell has made significant investments in the research and development of this cutting-edge technology, creating a method that allows PET foam products to be produced using post-consumer PET beverage bottles.

Core materials

We work with Carbon Core to provide the right solutions for the core materials.

  • SphereCel HX Type OM and CM are available in 1, 1.5, 2 mm thicknesses in roll widths up to 2M wide(1M standard)
  • Type OM for Open Molded Applications, Compatible with Polyester, Vinylester and Epoxy resins
  • Type CM for Closed Molded Applications(infusion, LRTM) Constructed with special high pressure resistant micro spheres) Compatible with Polyester, Vinylester and Epoxy resins
  • Cost effective solution for coring and laminar flow media combination.
  • Built in laminar flow(grooves) and cross flow (perforations) eliminates need for expensive special flow enabled glass reinforcements.
  • Honeycomb shaped core areas about 6 mm in diameter.
  • To support the lay-up process the SphereCel HX Type OM and CM are also available with an adhesive layer and release film. Adhesive layer eliminates the use of spray glue and assists in placing all the layers accurately .
